Georgia State Patrol investigators say a Villa Rica man died Wednesday after his motorcycle collided with a compact car north of Carrollton.

According to the pre-liminary report released by GSP Thursday:

“On 07/19/2023 at 5:28pm, Troopers were dispatched to a crash with injuries on GA 166 at GA 61.

The driver of a white 2023 Hyundai Elantra pulled out into the path of an orange 2003 Suzuki SV1000SK3 (motorcycle) by turning left in front of the motorcycle. The driver of the Hyundai was traveling west on GA 166 as the driver of the motorcycle (Jeremy Rice), was traveling east on GA 166. Rice was thrown from his motorcycle at impact and was transported to Tanner Hospital (Carrollton), where he passed from his injuries.

Charges are pending, upon completion of SCRT investigation.”
