Carrollton High School Trojan Diagnosed with Liver Cancer Gets Well Wishes from Former Trojan and Current Falcon

A Carrollton High School junior recently diagnosed with stage three liver cancer is in the thoughts and prayers of our listeners. Many took to the Gradick Sports and WLBB radio Facebook pages this week to share their best wishes.

Chase McDaniel had learned about his diagnosis on April 20, the morning of prom. He still attended with his date, Jaida.

He is currently in the hospital at ChildrenÂ’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Former Carrollton High School football standout and current Atlanta Falcon, Josh Harris, learned of McDanielÂ’s condition this week and sent out this message for a speedy recovery in a Facebook video:

“I just want to let you know that we are thinking about you man. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Not only is everybody in Trojan Nation behind you but here in Atlanta with the Falcons; we are thinking about you too brother. Keep working hard and keep fighting hard. We are behind you 100%.”

ChaseÂ’s family has started a journal for chase via the Caring Bridge website. There, they are updating his condition and responding to those who are offering to help out how they can.

McDanielÂ’s birthday is Thursday. He will spend that day in the hospital.
