Bowdon Woman Allegedly Pistol-Whipped Man And Removed His Safe

Bond had not been set Friday morning for a 41-year-old Bowdon woman arrested Thursday, charged with Aggravated Assault and Armed Robbery.

According to the report filed by Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy Mason Dodson, at approximately 3:00am April 11th, he was dispatched to a burglary to a unit of the Bagwell Apartments at 416 Columbia Drive in Carrollton.

The 55-year old male victim told investigators that his residence was invaded by two black males and a black female. He said he was pistol whipped in the face and the suspects left with his safe containing $1,500 in cash and approximately $5,000 in jewelry.

The victim told investigators that he was “standing in the doorway and was pistol-whipped… and he did not know what happened after that.”

The victim had a swollen right eye with a huge laceration underneath, according to the report. His eye was “bleeding profusely.” West Georgia Ambulance transported the victim to Tanner.

Officers located the safe in the victim’s bedroom but did not state if the items alleged to have been inside were removed.

One suspect was taken into custody on Thursday. Kristol Dion Stephens (pictured) has been charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery.
