Carrollton High School student C/Lt Colonel Ivan Ellis has completed the solo portion of his flight training on the Air Force Flight Academy Scholarship at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona.

Last night, he completed his nighttime cross-country flight. He has already accumulated more than 90 flight hours. Lt. Col. Mike Farr said Ivan is on track to complete the requirements for his private pilot’s certificate at the end of the month.
