37th annual Ben Scott Sports Auction sees continued success

CARROLLTON, GA — The 37th annual Ben Scott Sports Auction returned to the University of West Georgia Coliseum for another successful fundraising night for Carrollton High School athletes.

The Carrollton High School Athletic Booster Club sold nearly 800 tickets for the March 15 event, raising more than $193,000 in support for student-athletes.

“The auction at UWG this year saw tremendous success, and the community turnout was, once again, outstanding,” said CHS Athletic Director Paul Fitz-Simons. We’re incredibly grateful for the strong support our boosters and community members provide to our student-athletes.”

The funds raised through this event will provide substantial support for more than 900 students across 26 sports at Carrollton High School. Specifically, the money will cover items such as letterman’s jackets, patches, senior plaques, state championship rings, travel meals, region and state championship attire, awards, essential athletic equipment, uniforms, and attendance at camps and clinics.

CHS Booster Club President Andy Robinson is thrilled about the auction’s success.

“The support for our student-athletes at Carrollton is truly remarkable,” he said. “Trojan Nation always excels and answers the call when asked, and the auction is always a community favorite.”

He added, “We made significant strides with our ticket sales and sponsorship tables. Our Booster Club staff executed this event with excellence, and we express gratitude to the exceptional coaches, administration, and the Coliseum at UWG for their contributions to the event’s success.”
