VRPD Says Robbery Suspect Captured

written by: VRPD Captain Keith Shaddix

On 03/12/19 two suspects stole phones from Cricket Wireless on Hwy 61 Connector. Detective Noah Tolbert conducted the investigation and found that the suspects fled the scene in a maroon Cadillac CTS that was parked at a nearby business. He also identified one of the suspects as Wayne Glasper, 38 years old, from Atlanta, Ga.

On 03/25/19 Glasper committed a second robbery at Verizon Wireless on Hwy 61. During this crime he again stole cell phones from the store after cutting the cables that were attached to the phones. Glasper fled on foot and no vehicle was seen.

On 03/29/19 Villa Rica Police were given a lookout on a maroon Cadillac CTS that was involved in a theft from a T-Mobile store in Carrollton. As Sgt. Steven Lujan was setting up at the south city limits to watch for the vehicle, he was notified that a Carroll Co. Deputy was following a maroon Cadillac CTS. Sgt. Lujan assisted Carroll Co. SheriffÂ’s Office in stopping the vehicle and found that Glasper was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Bryheem Wright, 51 years old, from Douglasville, Ga. Both Glasper and Wright were arrested for the crime in Carrollton and Glasper was also charged with both Robberies in Villa Rica.

Villa Rica Detectives are working on the cases to determine if Wright was involved in the crimes committed in Villa Rica. It is believed that Glasper has committed similar crimes in Stockbridge, Woodstock, Smyrna, Norcross, Marietta, Conyers, Decatur, Lilburn, Fayetteville, and Stone Mountain. This is an ongoing investigation as Villa Rica Detectives continue to share information with these cities.
