UWG and Carroll Tomorrow May Partner Up On Burson Center

Carroll Tomorrow and the University of West Georgia are discussing a collaborative agreement in which the small business incubator, the Burson Center would be operated by the educational institution. Those pushing for the partnership say they believe it would raise the incubation process in west Georgia to a whole new level and allow the university to better focus on economic and community development.

The move could allow faculty at the university to utilize the incubator for their own projectsÂ… including hosting some classes at the center and engaging potential entrepreneurs. West Georgia Technical College may be offered the opportunity to host engineering, physics and STEM related classes in the facility as well.

One of the main goals of the potential project, is to cultivate entrepreneurs from students who would have better access to the Burson Center and the TinkerÂ’s Box.
