Suspect Caught After High Speed Chase Through Multiple Counties

Multiple law offices were involved in a high speed chase around noon Monday, pursuing a man accused of multiple auto thefts. Shots were allegedly exchanged between the suspect and authorities. No injuries have been reported.
 
According to Investigator Mark Worthy of the Tallapoosa Police Department, authorities in Cleburne County, Alabama were notified of a burglary in progress before noon Monday.
 
The suspect allegedly stole a white GMC Yukon.
 
The suspect led deputies into Georgia; driving through Tallapoosa; then back into Cleburne County, where he broke into an occupied home, stole keys to another truck, while the occupants watched television.
 
Authorities found the suspect again on the road. He was followed in through Buchanan, GA and into Haralson County, where gun shots were reportedly exchanged. The suspect continued into Paulding County where he was captured by authorities.

Georgia State Patrol was also involved in the chase.
 
The suspect’s name has not  yet been released.
