Shooting Victim Dies During Sixth Day In Hospital

The 30-year-old Temple man who was shot while driving on Morgan Road in Haralson County last Friday died in hospital Wednesday, according to the Haralson County SheriffÂ’s Office.

Investigators say it appears that Christopher Hetling was driving a vehicle that had just come off Corinth-Poseyville Road, when he and his passenger came up on a white older model Jeep parked in the street. A white male — identified as 26-year-old Christian Taylor Davis of Temple—was standing next to it. Hetling attempted to go around Davis. As he did, Davis allegedly fired at least one shot into the vehicle, which struck Hetling near his spine.

Investigators this week said they believe the two males knew each other but did not elaborate.

Charges against Davis will be upgraded to include murder.

He remains at large on Thursday

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Davis should call 911 or the Haralson County SheriffÂ’s Office.
