Man Pushes His Honda Accord to 140 mph, Catches Attention of Deputy

Officials in Haralson County say at around 7:20 AM Tuesday a deputy running radar on I-20 clocked a green Honda Accord running 140 MPH.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop and the green Honda refused to comply. The chase went into Cleburne County where the driver left I-20 and went through several back roads before getting on I-20 EB.

As the pursuit continued, the Georgia State Patrol was called in to assist. The Georgia State Patrol entered the chase around the Haralson/Carroll County line and did perform a PIT (Precision Mobilization Technique) maneuver on the Honda Accord.

When the vehicle came to a stop, the driver, now identified as 24-year old Lenny Brown with a last known address of Cartersville Georgia, took off on foot. Authorities set up a perimeter where multiple agencies assisted in the search for Brown until he was located and taken into custody.

Brown faces at least 10 charges.
