Carroll County Elections Supervisor Greg Rigby stated on Monday that Carroll County is still expected to be one of ten counties to use a new verified paper ballot system during municipal elections on November 5. RigbyÂ’s confirmation came on the same day that Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the selection of Dominion Voting Systems to implement its new verified paper ballot system. Implementation of the new secure voting system will be in place and fully operational for the rest of Georgia in time for the March 24, 2020 presidential preference primary.
The new system is considered to be the most modern, accessible and security-focused system on the market today, with paper ballots for every vote cast to ease auditing and ensure confidence in results.
