Carroll County BOE Discuss Preliminary Testing and Graduation Numbers

All of the official numbers have not yet been released but Carroll County School officials, this week, shared preliminary numbers for the districtÂ’s end of year testing and graduation rates.

“Our future looks bright. We are doing exceptionally well with our elementary schools. We have continued improvement and we would venture to say that we will continue to achieve well above the state average. In our middle and high schools we have had tremendous improvement in 7 out of 8 of those content areas. We are looking forward to those final numbers at the end of this month,” Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Dana Harman discussing the preliminary numbers with the Carroll County School Board on Monday. “Our district graduation rate, I do want to brag on our highs schools district average, which is very close to 90%. In a district our size, with five high schools, the average now is 90%, that is phenomenal. And that is quite an achievement and I commend our teachers and our principals. I cannot wait to see what that final number will be.”

Summer graduation numbers will have an impact on the final graduation rates, as well.
