U. S. Marshals Arrest Man Accused In Villa Rica Bank Robbery

On 04/09/18 at 2:25 PM, Villa Rica Police responded to the Sun Trust bank on West Bankhead Hwy due to the report of a robbery. Officers found that a black male had presented a note to the bank teller and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the bank and ran towards the rear of Farmer’s Furniture.


Detective Terry was able to identify the suspect as Marvin Williams, 53 years old, from Villa Rica. An arrest warrant was obtained for Williams on 04/10/18 and a search warrant was executed at his residence. Officers found that Williams had left and was possibly enroute to California. The Villa Rica Police Department requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Unit and, on 04/16/18, Williams was arrested in Las Vegas Nevada.
