Bremen Hopes to Build new School With Future SPLOST Funds

Bremen Ga -- Bremen City School officials are counting on voters to approve a continuation of the special purpose local option sales tax in 2020. They hope this tax would assist in building a new school for grades three through five.

Officials said the middle school student population does warrant a new school but funding for the project is not there at this point. Along with SPLOST funding, the district may be able to acquire about $1 million in state funding for the project.

One possible location for the potential school would be a 26-acre property owned by the school system that is between the intersection of Cashtown-U.S. 78 and Crosstown Parkway.
