Councilman's Case Dismissed

Temple Ga -- Temple City Councilman Richard Bracknell told WLBB radio that he has received notice from his attorney that a case filed against Bracknell alleging battery has been dismissed.

Bracknell was accused of coming into physical contact with a video camera held by a Temple woman, who records city council meetings and posts them online, following the March 28th council meeting.

Video of the incident shows Bracknell asking that the camera be turned off and blocked its view with a booklet

The accuser, Dawn Adkins, claimed that Bracknell swatted her hand which was holding the camera.

The sheriff's office found no probable cause to issue a warrant for Bracknell's arrest.

The official dismissal of this case could be filed this week.
