Haralson County Fares Well in Irma

Haralson County Ga -- "God blessed Haralson County."

The sentiment of Haralson County Emergency Management Agency Director, Brian Walker, when asked how Haralson County managed Irma on Monday. He said trees and branches in the county fought off Irma well.

"Haralson has fared very well out of Irma. We were prepared yesterday county wide. It was just a blessing. at this time throughout Haralson County we have had around 12 calls with 12 trees coming down in roadways," said Walker.

The region is still expecting some rain today that may still loosen the ground and branches a little over the next couple of days.

Walker said:"We still have a lot of trees in the county that did get damaged from the drought and keep your eyes open as you are coming down the roads and be really cautious of trees possibly coming down in front of you."

The National Weather Service expects Haralson County should see a total of four inches of rainfall from the storm by this evening.
