Carroll County, GA -- The Georgia State Patrol has identified the Villa Rica man killed in a two-vehicle crash just north of the Carrollton City limits late Thursday.
55-year old Charles Warren Barnett died as a result of the collision between his Nissan Pathfinder and a 2008 Lexus ES350. A 32-year old Carrollton woman was behind the wheel of the Lexus.
According to GSP investigators, the collision occurred at 8:20 pm at the intersection of GA 166 and Old Airport Rd. The Lexus was making a left turn onto Old Airport Rd and failed to yield. The car collided with Barnett's Nissan.
The Nissan overturned several times onto the south shoulder of GA 166. Barnett was ejected from his vehicle. He was unrestrained, according to the report.
Charges are pending upon the completion of the investigation from the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
