The Carroll County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a late morning incident Friday that resulted in at least three juveniles suffering at least one gun shot wound.
Captain Jeff Richards told WLBB Radio that the wounds at this time appear to be non-life threatening.
"Just prior to noon on Friday, Deputies responded to Rose Street in the San Marco Subdivision off of Old Airport Road," Richards said. "Initially, an officer found one person shot and learned that two more had also been shot in the lower extremities and were taken by private vehicle to Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica."
Investigators are still interviewing potential witnesses at this time.
The names of the three shot are not being released due to their age.
The preliminary investigation indicates that there was an on-going dispute. The parties met up in the roadway and a gun fight erupted.
Anyone with any information should contact Investigator James Stephens with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office 770-830-5916.
