West Georgia Technical College campus police are looking for leads after a thief removed the catalytic converter from a student’s car on the Thomas B. Murphy Campus in Waco.

The theft happened January 25 at about 2:30 p.m. Police say it took just two minutes for an unknown individual to jack up the student’s car, cut the converter loose and flee with it.

Images of the getaway car taken from security cameras on campus show the car – believed to be a Honda Civic – backing away from the building to shield the license plate from cameras.

Anyone with information about this crime can contact WGTC police at 855-579-4357.
