Man Shot In Scrotum

Carrollton Police are investigating an early Saturday morning shooting, in which the victim was struck with a bullet in his scrotum.
CPD Capt. Shannon Cantrell says the alleged shooter and the victim were initially in a car together driving from Atlanta. According to the report, the suspect says he was the passenger in the vehicle. He says he believed he was being driven to Union City to be part of a rap music video or music recording.
Cantrell says, the suspect claims he fell asleep in the vehicle, and when he woke up, he was in Carrollton, outside the Haven West Apartments on Lovvorn Road. It was approximately 4:00am. He apparently was confused as to why he was not in Union City; perhaps felt mislead. He was angry. He found a rifle in the car of a witness outside the 400 block of apartments. He fired at the man he was with in the car, as well as the man who he took the rifle from.
The man who traveled with the suspect was hit in the scrotum. He has been taken to an Atlanta hospital where he is said to be in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The shooter has been identified as 19-year old Robert Lewis Adams, Jr. of College Park. He has been charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
