Store Clerks Catch Thief

On 08-12-16 at approximately 12:00 PM, Villa Rica Police were notified of a robbery at E-Pawn on Hwy 78 in Villa Rica. The investigation showed that two males arrived in a silver Mercedes Benz. The males were identified as Jerime Jemale Lacey, 19 years old, and Kedrick Justin Parker, 21 years old, both from Villa Rica.
After the pawn shop employee declined to buy items from the Lacey and Parker, they returned to the vehicle and Parker pulled the vehicle close to yard equipment displayed outside. Lacey then grabbed two weed eaters and ran to the vehicle. An employee was outside and began to chase Lacey as well as an employee from inside that was watching Lacey on surveillance video.
Lacey was stopped by the employees and the property was recovered. Parker fled the scene west on Hwy 78. A Georgia State Patrol trooper saw the incident and assisted the employees in securing the arrest of Lacey.
Lacey and Parker were charged with Robbery by Sudden Snatch. Lacey was transported to the Carroll Co Jail. Law enforcement is still looking for Parker. Anyone having information on the location of Kedrick Justin Parker is asked to contact the Carroll Co. S.O. or the Villa Rica Police Department.
