Police Seek Local Man Accused Of Causing Crash That Killed Motorcyclist

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the man they believe to have been involved in a traffic collision early Saturday that resulted in the death of a local man on motorcycle.
24-year old Frank Freeman Childers of Dallas, GA is wanted for homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, DUI, and passing in a no passing zone.
Childress was reportedly driving south on Highway 113, moved into the northbound lane in an attempt to pass the vehicle in front of him, then struck the oncoming motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 44-year old Billy Maples of Carrollton, died as a result of his injuries.
Anyone with information regarding Childers' whereabouts is asked to call the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
