Villa Rica Woman Stalked, Assaulted

On 07-05-16, Villa Rica officers responded to the area of Eagle’s Flight and Mirror Lake Parkway due to a report of Aggravated Assault. As officers arrived they found a vehicle with a flat tire and a male standing in the road. Upon seeing the police cars, the male got in the vehicle and began to drive with the flat tire. The officers tried to stop the vehicle and a police chase began.
During the pursuit the driver of the vehicle committed several traffic offenses including running stop signs, driving on the wrong side of the road, and running red lights. The pursuit continued onto Conners Rd and ended when the driver lost control turning onto Liberty Rd.
The driver refused to exit the vehicle and began to fight with the officers as they tried to remove him. A taser was used to gain control of the suspect and he was taken into custody. The suspect was identified as Anthony Devoe Forest, 27 years old, from Fairfield AL.
During the investigation it was discovered that Forest had met the victim online and after a short time the victim had asked Forest not to contact her anymore. As the victim returned home on 07-05-16 she saw Forest waiting for her. As the victim attempted to leave, Forest jumped in front of the vehicle causing the vehicle to strike him. Forest then chased the victim, while driving his vehicle, striking her car several times till she came to a stop. The victim and her sister exited the vehicle and ran on foot. Forest got into the victim’s vehicle and at one point tried to strike the victim and her sister with the vehicle.
Forest was charged with numerous criminal offenses including 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, Obstructing Officers, DUI, Fleeing & Attempting to Elude, Stalking, Simple Assault, 2 counts of Criminal Damage, Hit & Run, Theft of Vehicle and 8 traffic offenses.
