Suspect Accused Of Firing At Law Captured In Douglas County

(6:30pm) Douglas County authorities have taken into custody a man suspected of firing his gun at a Haralson County Sheriff's deputy early Tuesday.
According to a HCSO press release released before 4:30 this afternoon:
At approximately 7 a.m. this morning, a Haralson County Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol was fired on by twenty five year old Tallapoosa man who had only recently been released from a Georgia prison. The shooter who has been identified as Zachary Ryan Lord of 66 Bethany Church Road address. 
Haralson County Sheriff Eddie Mixon released details of the incident, “Deputy Richard Harrison was on patrol when he observed a black four door car parked on a road that leads through a cemetery adjacent to the church. Harrison pulled along -side the vehicle and observed Lord sleeping on the driver’s side of the vehicle as well as a female asleep in the passage seat. Deputy Harrison recognized the man a sleep at the wheel as Zachery Lord who was wanted for failure to appear for fingerprinting. Deputy Richard Harrison pulled his patrol car in behind the Lord vehicle and contacted dispatch to advise them of the situation.  As Harrison then pulled got out of his patrol car and approached the suspicious vehicle and Lord opened fire with on the deputy.  Zachary Lord then fired multiple shots with and left the area but not before ramming and disabling Harrison’s patrol car.  
Reports indicate Deputy Richard Harrison was not injured. 
Also arrested in connection with the incident was Jennifer Nicole McDowell age 22 of 539 Friendship Road, Douglasville.
