VRPD Seek Suspects In Whirlwind Daytime Burglary

On 05-05-16 at approximately 5:45 PM, Villa Rica Police responded to Hibbett’s Sports in reference to a robbery. Witnesses said that two vehicles stopped in the fire lane in front of the store and several black males entered the store and began grabbing clothes and shoes. The males knocked over several racks as they were stealing merchandise and witnesses reported the number of suspects to be approximately seven.
The suspects then fled the store in the two vehicles that were described as a silver Toyota Camry and a white Nissan Murano. Both vehicles were reported to have paper temporary tags. A lookout was given to surrounding agencies and Douglasville Police made contact with the vehicles on I-20. The vehicles refused to stop and Douglasville Police chased the vehicles to an area near Thornton Rd where the Toyota was stopped using the pit maneuver. Four suspects fled on foot from the scene and one was captured a short distance away. A second suspect was located later on Thornton Rd and arrested.
The two suspects arrested are identified as Quavion Armour, 17 years old, from Atlanta, and Keymon Deshun Jackson, 23 years old, from Atlanta. Both were charged with Robbery and Giving False Name and are currently in the Carroll Co Jail.
The incident is still under investigation as the Villa Rica Police Department works to identify the other suspects and locate the white Nissan Murano. Anyone having information on this crime is asked to contact Detective Eddie Thompson at (678)840-1317 or Crime Stoppers at (770)838-STOP.
