Council Disagrees With Mayor; Keeps City Manager & Gives Him A Raise

Villa Rica City Council and mayor went behind closed doors for their discussion regarding the performance and compensation review for City Manager David Milliron.
When they emerged, council had unanimously agreed on a new year-long contract for Milliron calling for An annual salary of $107,000 plus a $600 per month car allowance.
Milliron’s future with the city was challenged this week when Mayor J. Collins asked council not to renew his contract. Collins simply stated he was not a fan of Milliron’s managerial style.
If council did have any concerns, they have not said so publicly and were apparently not enough in their eyes to keep Milliron from continuing the chore of running the city’s operations for another year. Council members have gone on the record in the past commending Milliron’s efficiency.
