Fowl Droppings Becoming A Big Bother At Lake Carroll

Nature lovers who enjoy stopping by Lake Carroll to feed the geese may be encouraged not to do so in the near future.
Although coin-operated waterfowl treat dispensers had been installed on the lake last year, city officials are finding that although they were put up with the best of intentions, it may not have been such a good idea.
Some visitors to the lake and those living around the lake are unhappy with the excessive droppings being left and the aggressive nature from animals that the feedings may encourage.
The city is considering removing the feeders and installing more signs that ask people not to feed the ducks and geese.
