Woman Gets 10-Years For Plea In Case Of Boyfriend's Death

A Carrollton woman pleads guilty to killing her boyfriend back in December of 2012.

26-year old Moquita Inetta green will spend 10 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter.

Green is accused of using a “regular kitchen knife” to stab to death her 24-year-old boyfriend, Angel Asenjo jr., followed an altercation between the couple in the kitchen of their magnolia lake apartment just a few days before Christmas.

Green's former counsel had said previously that she acted in self-defense; claiming that she was fighting off an attempted sexual assault.
