Georgia Congressman Lynn Westmoreland met with a group of students from Temple Elementary and Providence Elementary in Washington D.C. on Monday. The students were on a trip to the nation’s capitol as part of their 5th grade history curriculum. The kids had planned to tour the white house on this trip but after sequestration cuts had affected public tours, the congressman instead invited the youth to the U.S. Capitol building where they visited the house gallery and watched the house floor.
