Police Seek Blue Chevy Truck In Hit & Run

The Georgia State Patrol is seeking to question the driver of a blue Chevrolet pick-up truck that at least one witness claims struck and injured a Carrollton motorcyclist and then left the scene.

GSP Public Information Officer Gordy Wright says that at around 1:40 in the afternoon Saturday on Georgia 1 at George Harris Road, a 2005 Suzuki being operated by 46-year old John Floyd Ivan Pulliam was traveling south when the pickup made a left turn in front of the motorcycle.  Wright says the motorcycle struck the right front of the truck, causing the cycle to spin and ejecting the driver.

According to a witness to the crash, the truck stopped briefly and then left the scene.

Pulliam was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital for treatment of injuries.

Anyone with information on the blue Chevrolet pickup truck with damage to the right front is asked to call GSP Villa Rica at 770-459-3661.
