Carroll county school administrators are being asked to suggest cuts of up to 8-million dollars for the upcoming 2013-2014 budget. Chief Financial Officer, Greg Denney said on Monday that no numbers are definite at this time but they hope to have a better estimate by February.
Board chairman Jon Anderson requested the 8-million dollar figure as a worst-case-scenario after reviewing predictions and formulas used in the past. Anderson says that starting with the $8M figure will give the board several options to consider when the figures are more evident.
Anderson is the guest on Wednesday’s WLBB Community Voice program.
