The West Georgia bankers association (WGBA) recently showed its support of the Richards College of business by creating a scholarship fund for UWG students majoring in finance. WGBA president and UWG alumnus, James Fulford presented a check for $4,600 to the university of West Georgia foundation to assist deserving students pay for college. “We had the funds and wanted to assist in any way possible,” said Fulford. “Our organization was stale due to the banking economy, but we had these funds sitting in a reserve account so we decided this would be a way to put the funds to great use.”
