City Manager Hopeful To Bring Employee Raises To Budget
Villa Rica city officials continue public talks on the 2012/13 budget this afternoon. City Manager, Laryy Wood hopes to find approval for city employee pay increases. "We're finishing up a good year, this year. We were fortunate enough to have $400,000 extra revenue come in through our occupational tax from our insurance company. Local Option sales Tax is coming in above what the mayor told me to project that it would," he says. "I am recommending to the mayor that we give salary increases to employees of the city of Villa Rica. We have not given increases... performance or cost of living in over... this will be four years if we do not give an increase this year."
