Locally-Owned Dog A Fan Favorite At Westminster Show
A German Shepherd named after a sugary cereal and owned by a Carroll County couple wins the ‘Herding Group’ competition this week at the 136th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The large-breed dog named GCH Babheim’s Captain Crunch (“Cappy”) is owned by James & Sheree Moses of Carrollton.
The MSG crowd showed great affection for the four year-old male carrying the classic look of the popular breed but he unfortunately came up short in the ‘Best Of Show’ category last night, to an 11-pound Pekingese. This year’s competition hosted more than 2,000 dogs and 185 different breeds and varieties.
