 Interview with Central’s Patrick Gamble

            I recently interviewed Central High School football standout Patrick Gamble.  Gamble is finishing up his senior year at Central High School and will continue furthering his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Gamble is a fantastic football player and will fit in well at Georgia Tech.  He is chomping at the bit to finish his senior year and get to Atlanta to start the next phase of his life.  We will continue to interview Gamble on a regular basis and throughout football season this upcoming fall.

 

Q. What are your expectations heading into next season at Georgia Tech?

A. My expectations are to go in school and work hard make myself a better player and to go in and get my school work done good.

Q. When you think of Georgia Tech football what comes to mind?

A. When I think of GT football I think of football tradition.

Q. What have been your first impressions of Head Coach Paul Johnson?

A. I like Coach Johnson I think he is a good aggressive coach. I like his philosophy about football, he is a good man. 

Q. How soon after graduation do you start working out in Atlanta under Coach Johnson?

A. After school I leave to start working with GT around June 15.

Q. How did you come to the conclusion that Georgia Tech was the place for you?

A. I love GT coaches and the players and academics and I felt comfortable there.

Q.  What was your visit to Tech like?

A. My visit to Tech was awesome I had the best time of my life up there.

Q. What does your family think about your decision? and Georgia Tech?

A. My family loves tech and they think the decision I made was the right one.

Q. What degree will you be pursuing at Georgia Tech?

A. I haven't decided if I will pursue business or biomedical engineering.

Q. What are your predictions for the upcoming Georgia v.s. Georgia Tech football game next fall?

A. My prediction is that we will win, GT there is no other way to go.

Q. What goals have you set for you personally as you finish high school and prepare to play football at the college level?

A. My goals are to hit the weight room hard and get prepared for college.

 
Q. What are you most looking forward to about playing football at the college level?

A. I am looking forward to playing the game that I love in front of thousands of fans and a hostile environment and playing good football.
