The west Georgia teenager who released a gospel/rap CD last year continues to get national attention for his efforts. 16-year old Carrollton High School sophomore Cedrick Woods, AKA Yung Swagga received soft nominations for the 2012 Crunk For Christ Radio, Holy Hip Hop and Rhythm & Praise Awards. Woods’ 2011 release, “New Beginning” is under consideration for Holy Hip Hop Album of the Year while Swagga himself is up for Most Versatile Artist, Breakthrough Artist and Holy Hip Hop Artist of the Year. The awards ceremony is to be held in August at the Georgia World Congress Center.
