The former Carroll County School Board member accused of false imprisonment and two counts of aggravated assault, among other charges, is denied bond in Carroll County Superior Court Friday. 50-year old Michael Huckaba is alleged to have pointed a gun at his former wife. He reportedly went after her when he believed she was cooperating with authorities during the investigation of another case, in which Huckaba allegedly stole more than 300 gallons of gas from Carroll County over a half years time, while he was employed as a prison guard for the county jail.
In arguing against bond, Assistant District Attorney Anne Allen argued that prosecutors believe Huckaba is a danger to intimidate and threaten witnesses and is a flight risk. Huckaba has been jailed in Carroll County since December.
