Three men tied to the theft of more than a half-million dollars worth of copper from Southwire last year were sentenced this week to federal prison by a United States District Judge, on charges of transporting stolen copper across state lines. All three men are reportedly from the Miami, Florida area.
The three defendants pleaded guilty to the charges in September of last year. Each faces more than three years behind bars followed by three years of supervised release. Each is ordered to pay restitution of more than $750,000.
