The fabric canopy is up, on the new amphitheater just off the square in Carrollton. Mayor and city council have yet to approve a name for the venue. Possibly under consideration is granting naming rights to a sponsor or to name the facility after someone in the arts field with a local attachment.
City Manager Casey Coleman says the facility should be complete by the end of March with the first function expected to coincide with this year’s mayfest.
