Suspect Sought For Theft on New Year’s Eve



On 12-31-11 Villa Rica Police were advised of a theft at the Shell Service Station, 157 Commerce Dr. Villa Rica Ga. An employee had reported to work at 5:45 AM and found one door was locked and the other had a sign on it saying “Back in 10 Minutes”. The employee that was supposed to be working could not be found.

 Upon checking the video it was discovered that the employee, Scott Allen Dempsey, began taking money from the safe around 4:30 AM. The video also shows Dempsey taking a firearm, 14 packs of incense, 4 magazines, and 4 packs of rolling papers. Dempsey is then seen leaving the store at approximately 5:00 AM.

 Two warrants for Theft by Taking have been issued for Scott Allen Dempsey, 25 years old, from Temple Ga. Anyone having information on Dempsey is asked to contact the Villa Rica Police Department at (770) 459-5149 or Crime Stoppers at (770) 830-STOP.
