(Carrollton, Georgia-December 16, 2011) Mr. Keith Holloway was named the new Football Coach of Mt. Zion High School at the December 15, 2011 Carroll County Board of Education meeting.Coach Holloway is a Carroll County graduate and earned his B.S in Secondary Education and M.Ed. in Social Studies Education from the State University of West Georgia. Coach Holloway has served as a teacher and coach in the Carroll County School System for 14years and is a 25-year veteran teacher and coach. He began his career in 1987 at Alexander High School in Douglas County, serving as a Social Studies teacher and coach for 11 years. Coach Holloway came to Central High School in Carroll County in 1998 where he taught U.S. History and coached football. In 2001 Coach Holloway went to Bowdon High School and has served as a U. S. History teacher and offensive coordinator for the football team for the last 10 years.
Coach Holloway has coached varsity football for the last 25 years, serving as an offensive coordinator for 18 of those years. Coach Holloway has been a part of 39 playoff games, 6 Region Championships, and the 2001 State Runner-up in Class A. In addition to football, Coach Holloway has also coached baseball, tennis and served as the Assistant Athletic Director the last 2 years for Bowdon High School.

Zion is a wonderful community with supportive parents and great kids.” “ I want the kids to have a chance to wake up on Saturday morning, after a game, and feel good about themselves.” With that in mind the coaching staff will do whatever is necessary to put the team in a position to be successful.” “Coach Holloway will be a tremendous asset for Mt. Zion High School. “His coachingexperience, proven track record and passion for high school football will be invaluable in helping him work with students, staff, parents and the community to move Mt. Zion High School forward. We are lucky to have a leader of his quality to take over the football program at Mt. Zion High School.
