Carroll County School officials say the issue involving allegations that an elementary school student was bullied by his teacher because his family practiced paganism, has been resolved and that all parties involved are pleased with how the matter was handled.
A separate statement released on behalf of a task force showing support for the 11-year old student at the heart of the alleged incidents and his family, states that they believe “the school guidance counselor will make efforts to educate staff and students about honoring and accepting the differences that make us individuals, and that procedures will be put in place to ensure classroom activities don't alienate students.”
Supporters of the boy’s family in this issue say they believe “the administration and teachers will have yearly training about the district's code of ethics and the responsibilities of each staff member to preserve the integrity of every students' rights.”
