Villa Rica Mayor J. Collins officially filed paperwork Wednesday, vetoing city council’s approval of $1,001 Christmas bonuses for full-time city employees and $500 for part timers. City council responded soon after by calling a meeting for Friday afternoon at 2:00, with the intent of over-riding the mayor’s veto. That public meeting will be held at city hall.
