Carroll County Elections Supervisor Becky Deese announced Wednesday that early voting for the January 3rd, 2012 House District 68 special election runoff will begin on Tuesday, December 27th and will close on December 30th at the Carroll County Elections Office. Dustin Hightower and Alan Martinez were the top two vote-getters in a special election for that seat earlier this month.
Deese says a frequently asked question by voters is “If I did not vote in the December 6th election, can I still vote in the runoff?”
“You can vote as long as you are eligible to vote in the House 68 District,” she says. “Note that not everyone who normally votes at the precincts to be open in January is eligible to vote, so we encourage all voters to confirm they are in the House 68 District.”
Split precincts (*) voters should refer to their precinct card or go to www.sos.ga.gov/mvp to determine if they are eligible to vote in house 68.
