Assistant Superintendent of Carroll County Schools, Kathy Rogers says results of the Fall 2011 Georgia High School Writing Exam indicate that 94% of the Carroll County students taking the test met or exceeded expectations. The state percent of students who met or exceeded expectations was 95%. The scores represent the 11th grade regular program first time test takers.

Villa Rica High has shown the most improvement over the last five years rising 10-percentage points. According to the chart, the Mt. Zion High School percentage of students meeting or exceeding dropped from 97% in the Fall of 2010 to 81% in the fall of 2011.
