The Chamber will host a ribbon cutting, at the Warren P. Sewell Memorial Library Ceremonial Groundbreaking, on Tuesday December 6, 2011 at 10am, for the renovation and addition to the library building set to begin in early 2012. The Bremen Library was one of eleven library projects throughout the state included in Governor Sonny Perdue’s budget to fiscal year 2010. The library received a $1,857,000 grant for the construction cost. The Bremen Library Board selected Rutledge-Alcock Architects, LLC for architectural services, and Lovvorn Construction, Inc. was awarded the contract for the project. Representatives of both will be present at the groundbreaking. Please join the Bremen Library Board, the Bremen library staff, West Georgia Regional library staff and local officials for a brief informational presentation and groundbreaking followed by refreshments in the meeting room of the library located at 315 Hamilton Avenue.
