Highway 27 travelers could soon see the benefits of a $3.5m contract awarded by the Georgia Department of Transportation. A new project reportedly includes just under ten miles of resurfacing and shoulder rehabilitation, beginning at the Heard county line and extending to Springdale road in Carroll county. Work is expected to be complete by the end of September next year.
