College Student Hospitalized After Avoiding Train
A Temple teen-ager attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia reportedly remains in hospital, nearly two weeks after jumping from a train trestle and falling nearly 100 feet to a river bank, to avoid an oncoming train. According to a Virginia newspaper, 18-year old Julianne Ashbaugh and four other friends were reportedly caught off-guard by the train, while stargazing on the tracks in mid-November. One of the other students, an 18-year old woman from North Carolina, was struck by the train and died at the scene.
