Recounting the votes for three municipal elections in Carroll County Thursday produces the exact same figures that were initially provided on election night Tuesday. The races re-counted Thursday include Carrollton mayor, Carrollton city council ward 4 and Mt. Zion city council post 2.
Because today is a state holiday, none of this week’s results will be officially certified until Monday. After that, should candidates have issues with the election, they would most likely have to raise concerns through legal means, according to Elections Superintendent Becky Deese. “Although,” she says, “The elections office would continue to provide candidates with election information, as requested.”
