Westmoreland Commemorates Veterans Day

NEWNAN, G.A. – This Friday, November 11, we celebrate Veterans Day. Veterans Day is celebrated each November 11 and honors the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Below is Congressman Westmoreland’s statement commemorating Veterans Day.

“I would like to salute the men and women who are currently serving or who have served in any branch of our armed forces. This country was built on the dedication and sacrifice of our country’s veterans. From the Revolutionary War to the War on Terror, the men and women of the armed forces have devoted their lives to serving our country.

“Georgia’s Third District is home to many of our nation’s veterans. If you have a family member, a friend, or a neighbor who has served in the armed forces, I encourage you to take a moment this Veterans Day and join me in thanking them for their service,” stated Westmoreland.
